Overview
This spiral wound gasket is manufactured to the exacting requirements of ASME B16.20 for sealing class 150LB flanged connections. Engineered for reliability in critical service piping systems, it combines the structural strength of metal with the sealing properties of a non-metallic filler. The inclusion of a metal outer ring (guide ring) centers the gasket during installation, prevents over-compression of the winding, and provides a visual seal indicator. This design ensures a consistent, leak-free seal capable of withstanding system pressure, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stress.
Key Features
ASME B16.20-2007 compliant construction for guaranteed dimensional accuracy and performance. Spiral wound design with a 304 stainless steel winding for resilience and recovery. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) filler material offering excellent chemical resistance. Integrated 304 stainless steel outer ring for proper alignment and compression control. Suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Provides a reliable seal for NPS 1/2 inch, Class 150LB standard flanges.
